Aces Competition Winners

After a long delay because of all the games that have been cancelled we can now announce the winners of the Design an Away Strip competition. The Supporters’ Trust received the best response to any competition we have ran so far and were very impressed by the quality and imagination of the entries handed in. This gave the Airdrie Directors a major headache when it came to choosing the best one and it was difficult for them to select a clear winner. However, after much deliberation, they chose Sam Blackwood, age 11 from Chapelhall, as the winner.

Sam’s prize for winning the competition is that he will be Kit Boy for a match. Sam will work alongside Kit Manager John Donnelly before one of the home games soon, and will be responsible for making sure that the dressing room is set out properly with each players training gear, strips and boots. He will also be Mascot at a home game and get the chance to meet the Directors.

James MacMillan, age 14, and Andrew Kennedy, age 10, were two worthy runners up in a very close run competition and will receive Airdrie away tops as their prizes.
